Shelter Now Programs Affordable Housing: Increasing the range of housing options available for homeless and low-income individuals and families – housing that is attractive, affordable, well managed, and linked to the services and support people need to rebuild their lives. Shelter Now is committed to working with our partners to create solutions that work. Outreach/Network of Support: We offer housing and supports to those most vulnerable; those who are homeless or at risk often have disabling conditions and are often unable to access the resources they need. These individuals typically spend years cycling between emergency services, shelters, hospitals and jails. Prevention: We strengthen communities and prevent homelessness by addressing the multiple factors that cause individuals and families to become homeless. Sustainability: Phase 1 (Hartog House) includes rental office space for service providers integrated into the lower level of the building. This means better service for our residents on-site; increased revenue to sustain programs; and greater capacity to be able to offer the lowest rents possible to our residents. We have just recently purchased a new property and are very excited to start the planning process for Phase II.
